Rain storms in sihanouvkille and other places

Hope you all have a wonderful new year.

One thing I always enjoyed there was walking the side streets and finding small coffee shops and cafes. Used to be a nice beer garden right by the night market. We would go and eat there. Not like a bia hoi in Hanoi but it was fun. There are also ... Read More

Transferring Money by earthmedicine
Can anyone suggest the easiest and cheapest way to transfer money from my Western bank into my ABA account?

I have problems even with the xoom app. Here has been the problem in Cambodia. The paypal app requires periodic logins and trying to login from cambodia has been a problem for me. So I set fingerprint access to paypal. Then xoom forgot the account ... Read More

Transferring Money by earthmedicine
Can anyone suggest the easiest and cheapest way to transfer money from my Western bank into my ABA account?

Be careful using Xoom if you don't use ria tracking number within ABA. If you go to the bank and show your US passport and transfer to yourself you will see Xoom does not list a middle name for Cambodian transfers while your passport does. This has ... Read More

@longacre7174Welcome to Siem Reap. The bus and van rides are the way to get around mostly. We go to Battambang on the bus every so often. Takes 3 hours. Finding people in Siem Reap should not be challenging. Often I sit over at viva off pub street ... Read More
