Don't know about seasoned. I would do this though. I would have two US checking accounts established before you leave and link them so you can transfer funds between. Perhaps one would be Charles Schwab. The other should not be Bank of America. ... Read More

Be careful using Xoom if you don't use ria tracking number within ABA. If you go to the bank and show your US passport and transfer to yourself you will see Xoom does not list a middle name for Cambodian transfers while your passport does. This has ... Read More
