Hi I have a friend he's currently dating a Colombian girl not sure where they met ( most likely online) my friend It's not the greatest looking guy and the typical girls he has dating in the past they haven't been the best looking girls or neither the finest girls. He usually won't be talking much about his past girls but this chick he won't stop talking about her over and over which means he really likes her / loves her i haven't met her he did show me a picture of her I was so surprise by the type of girl he show me she was light skin beautiful long brown hair beautiful girl I couldn't believe it. Onece he showed me her picture he right away started saying "I'm going to marry this women I'm going give her green card and going get her s air mattress "聽 ( she supposedly she barely got to United States and she lives with a " roommate ") I ask him how long they been dating he just said little bit over 2 weeks . My question if he's getting scammed or is this a red flag of a Colombian chick ? . Also she hasn't had sex with him yet he just buying her things.

Poor guy. it's a scam.

I have 34 years of travel in Colombia (initial 4 month stay in Bogota 1990) and now have almost 15 years in Medellin, full time, still constantly exploring every region, making friends and have had a few very serious gf over the years, some lasting a few months to one lasting over 5 years, so have experience with women from about every region (Paisa, Costena, Choco, Cali and Rolos).

Have seen it all and have earned the hard way some scars about the culture here.

BTW no matter what you tell your friend will go unheard, I've stopped as it is a waste of time, no more as my most recent trying to be helpful to my buddy from Texas, urrrr this started when he met a Paisa chica here in Medellin about 4 years ago.............long story short after bringing here to the US in one years she was gone............this guy is not bad looking, is a business owner and earns big money, in his 50's but never married, has international travel under his belt...........I hate the telephone call that I got from him a few months back and he said "You told me so and I did not listen". He is now going through a divorce.

Please have a heart to heart talk with your friend, he doesn't know what he doesn't know.

@ChineduOpara They probably only learn when they sign the homeland security migration papers and by then its too late.

And NO, no prenuptual will get you out of it, same as child support.

I wonder if these type of posts are fake but like LA聽 traveller pointed out, there are so.many guys out there thinking with their.wrong head, this kinda shyte happens.
