Also, Instagram. It’s bizarre that even the government agencies, for example Detran-ES, relies exclusively on whatsapp. They have phone numbers listed but do not answer. They direct you to use whatsapp. Businesses and government agencies love it because there is NO accountability. No names given out, no records of what information was passed etc, unlike a phone call or email. I also wonder what happens to the Brazilian economy when META pulls the plug or gets hacked for some reason. Seems like a risky mode of communication.

I met an Italian guy last week. He said he has lived in Brazil for 20 years. I told him I've been here for 16 years.

He asked how I like the bureaucracy. I said that I mostly have avoided the bureaucracy.

I tried to start a software company in Brazil, but was soon completely overwhelmed by the documents required.

So I hired software developers in other countries to build apps for my clients in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

We all speak English.

And we all use WhatsApp. 😀

But the chatbots are driving me crazy as I schedule one medical test after another in Brazil. Each chatbot is different. And they are all chatty.

WA is an excellent app that allows free world wide communications for anyone.

Intrducing AI to it was a rubbish idea,as  AI doing it in Google maps  ruined that app's navigation, and AI has destroyed Google's reverse image search.

AI has its uses, but it cn also be a real pain.

I can only speak for myself, but putting that pointless rubbish into WA is  a pain in the arse. It ges in the bloody way of  what I need WA to do.

The chatbots are medical vendor's software. Not intelligent. Not mainstream CRM software, just script kiddy crapware using WhatsApp APIs. AI will be even worse.

But I use other software to manage software development projects. Threaded, categorized discussions, software repositories with logs, automated and manual testing with logs. Everything is documented from project start to completion.

Chat is for gossiping. 😀
