Highly recommend you check with your airline first as baggage allowance will differ depending on airline, route, class, fare, etc.
Three months ago I was allowed to check in two bags from Riyadh to Corpus Christi. Last week they only allowed me one bag (20 kgs), also had to pay for extra weight.

Im flying from London to Riyadh with Saudi airlines and I have just seen that I can carry 25kg's but ideally it would be so much better if it was 30kg's. Wishful thinking!

You are allowed one carry bag not to exceed 7 kg and you might be able to add 5kgs and get away with it.

I travel on the same route. Join the SaudiAirline scheme (alfusan) its a free membership and instant online. members can carry an extra 10kg of weight.

Also if you go over by 2-3 kg they wont mind. Saudi Airlines are not as strict as other airlines when it comes to weight allowance.

Thank you so much. I've just become a blue member on the Alfusan programme but I hope as my ticket was already booked before I became a member I will still qualify for the 10kg extra weight.

if you will come by Saudi Airlines you have to  tell them you come to saudi to work with gov ( university) then they will not be strict , also tell them this is the first time of you to come to saudi

just take the print out of the alfursan card (you can print from saudi airlines website) with you. They will allow you the extra weight allowance. You wont have any problems.

Very helpful information.  I have been wondering how to take a year's worth of baggage in one 20-kg suitcase.
