Crossing into Qatar - World Cup

fine_pseudo

Hi folks,

I'll be flying from Budapest to Dammam for the World Cup in Qatar, and I am thinking to cross into Qatar by bus, is there any ideas or updates on how can I make it to Abu Samra land border ? Because I've heard there's going to be free buses from the terminal to the Al Messila Metro Station in Doha for a seamless onward journey.

On the other hand, is it true that crossing by car requires you to have a confirmed booking for at least 5 nights via the Qatar Accommodation Agency ?

Many thanks and any help would be appreciated.

Peace out

Crossing via car requires a booking for 5 nights and min of 3 people in the car. Then you apply for a permit and pay around 5000 QAR.

Alternative is to take free shuttle bus from the border.

You are better off taking shuttle flight from Dammam, directly to Qatar.
