Make hay where (or while )  the sun shines; In order to perform well at work one needs to maintain a balance of one' daily , weekly status mentally and physically ,once this is achieved then happiness sneaks gently to your life . How could that be achieved !

- First and foremost one must strive to make friends with other expats starting with those at work which abridges the ordinary attitude of acquaintance.
- Take care of your health and body ,join a gym and learn new things about exercise.
- By trying to acquire a new hobby that is related to your geography ex walking by the sea shore in the evening ,or early in the morning. Page local papers and notice the activities , offers , events etc
- Arrange with a bunch of real friends , not necessarily locals , to go a long trip outside the city eg. to Jabal  Akhdhadar or Sur or Sohar or the sea.
- Have one dinner at least one with a precious friend or maybe with a comrade once a month.

My best wishes

Being happy is not an ambition but a requirement, especially in this pandemic time.  Most of all, read only essential news from any news outlets.  If the heading, strikes odd and contrary to the routine modes, ignore it.  But always focus on national policies and circulars from government or reliable sources.
Meditation is of paramount importance for the ones who can practice it and yoga will definitely help you to be in a balanced life.
The food that you eat really matters, going more of vegetarian food (doesn't mean to skip non veg) and fruits will put you at ease both physically and mentally.
If you are an expat, be in touch with your family if they are here or back home.  Because any turbulence in mind can be stream lined if you ventilate enough.  Families and friends are the right options.
Do a little exercise, hear a gentle music, if possible sing a song to make your heart light.
Above all, think what you can do for others in these challenging times?  The more you are involved in this particular aspect, it does make a world of difference in your mental health.
Stay safe, Stay healthy, Stay blessed.
