Why expats hesitant to go to the Ministry of Labour to complain?

lakmalchandana90

Why are majority of expats hesitant to go to the Ministry of Labor to complain even though they are right?

This also includes me who randomly feels justice will not be served right.

Hi there,

I believe it's because of the language barrier, expat feels that they could not explain their problem fully. Besides they feel that the labor ministry may favor local companies.

But in any case, you should try your best to get, what you deserve. You can seek your embassy's support in this regard.

@lakmalchandana90 No, its not, its language barrier, most of the expats can't read and write Arabic unless they are from Arabic speaking countries, other than that might be able to speak little bit, still 90% can't differentiate between He & she while speaking. How can you expect someone to fully express his problem in court or in front of judge.

2nd: if you have courage to go, its good, you will be provided a translator in court room (free of cost).
