Vaccines required in Kuwait

Diksha

Hello everybody,

When living or moving abroad, and in particular in Kuwait, vaccination against certain diseases is often required to enter the country or to avoid risks.

We would like to ask you a few questions to help future expats there.

What is your relationship to vaccines in general?

Did you get vaccinated before moving to Kuwait?
Were these vaccinations compulsory or recommended?

Did you refuse to get any vaccine that was recommended for Kuwait? If so, why?

If you are an expatriate in Kuwait, are you encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine? Do you have access to the vaccine and do you plan to get it?

Is this vaccine required for entering the country now?

Many thanks,

Diksha,

Hell Diksha and all,

Frankly, I won't take the Corona vaccine because it is not compulsory until now, also because many people recovered from the virus without vaccines.

Actually Corona Vaccine is compulsory to all passengers who want to visit Kuwait.

Moo

I am not taken it too because of the harmful side effects and pharmaceutical companies are protected from liability regarding the vaccine.

In fact, I do not care about this matter because until now there is nothing certain about Corona. On the contrary, they may transmit some diseases to you through vaccination, but it became compulsory when entering Kuwait

Covid Vaccine is not mandatory currently. Proof of negative Covid test is.

And to answer your other question: Other vaccines like flu, hepatitis etc. are recommended but not mandatory.

Could you send a link where this information is available, so we can check it periodically for updates?

TIA

Hi Diksha,
First of all it’s my pleasure to talk to you.  To answer the question, please note that so far there is no regulation in Kuwait to be vaccinated prior to entry not only Covid nor any other diseases. However as a regular practice whoever enter Kuwait first should have a medical check passed mainly cover blood, urine, X-ray, etc. then only the visa will be stamped and once entered in the country again should have a similar medical check up also to be completed and accordingly the residence will be stamped.
Hope the above clarified your doubts.  BTW are you planning to enter in Kuwait any time soon?

Thank you,
Regards / Thomas

Q & A:

What is your relationship to vaccines in general?
1. I am a Healthcare Professional, so I am PRO-Vaccine, but it depends on what vaccine and what it is used to treat or cure.

Did you get vaccinated before moving to Kuwait?
2. No, I only took vaccines for India and Africa.

Were these vaccinations compulsory or recommended?
3. For the above mentioned Countries and Continent, YES.

Did you refuse to get any vaccine that was recommended for Kuwait? If so, why?
4. No vaccines were required for Kuwait.

If you are an expatriate in Kuwait, are you encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine? Do you have access to the vaccine and do you plan to get it?
5. As a Healthcare Professional, I will take the Pfizer Vaccine, based on my research and faith in Pfizer from past experience of dealing with them in the past in the USA. I am not here to recommend any vaccine to anyone as I am NOT a Physician.

Is this vaccine required for entering the country now?
6. Not Yet, but I think eventually we will all be required to take a COVID19 Vaccine especially if it affects our travels to other countries and just in general.

Hope this helps....
