Visit visa for Family

aureleonen

Hi all,

I have 2 questions regarding visit visa application, i was hoping if anyone can help and I would like to thank you in advance.

1.) for visit visa application for family visit, they require 3 months banks statement with 1000usd. I will be applying visa for my mother which has no money on her bank account. Since i will be paying for her whole stay, would it be possible to just submit my bankt statement instead of her own?

2) there is an option of visa on arrival which I believe has no requirement( my mother has Philippines passport). I am confused, if it is allowed, why would they require 3 months bank statement on the visit visa application? Any thoughts?

Bank statement has to be in her name and it applies for both online and on arrival (see required documents section)

Hello,

I would like to reopen this thread for additional question.

  1. Is there a different website if I am the one applying for my Family members? (Ex. wife, parents)... The one that I previously used (evisa.gov.bh -> apply&eligibility -> purpose (general visit) -> detailed purpose (family visit)…. looks like has the same requirement as the visit visa without family member; thus, no credit for a relative having a resident permit in Bahrain.…. It also has the same requirement “• Copy of a valid visit visa to UAE, UK, USA, KSA (excluding Hajj & Umrah visa), Schengen or USA Green Card” - which is very difficult and i think should not be required when im sponsoring my family.
  2. is there another website on which i will be the one applying as a sponsor for my family to visit here?

please help maybe i missed something.

thank you in advance.

There is no other website, standard documents for everyone. Additional you can upload your CPR copy / Lease agreement to support the stay.

The evisa.gov.bh website is for UNSPONSORED visas.   Even if the description says family visa, YOU are NOT their sponsor.   They are being judged on their own merit and the only waiver they get is hotel booking etc...........by virture of them staying with their family member (CPR/lease agreement).  Every other requirement WILL apply e.g. bank statements, flight tickets etc.  The UK/US/Etc visa is NOT a requirement.........its just listed there......if you have it, you don't need to apply and instead can get visa on arrival.

You are confusing this with a SPONSORED family visa.  That can only be applied through your employer - you cannot do it yourself.   And yes, for that, all of these requirements will be waived because in reality, your employer will act as guarantor.
