How to deal with stress when moving to Norway

Priscilla

Moving abroad is no easy feat. Everyone has their own ways of dealing with stress, so we invite you to share some insights regarding this topic.

What are the main factors that contribute to stress when moving to Norway (cultural adaptation, moving with family, administrative and bureaucratic issues, language differences, etc.)?

What activities would you recommend to help deal with this type of stress?

What are some techniques that have helped you deal with stress?

Is there a way to avoid being stressed out or anxious when moving to Norway?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I think that you should not experience stress when moving to such a beautiful country.
I too soon have to go there for a short while, but I would love to have moved forever.

Life in Norway is considerably more relaxing than other countries from my experience, given you have a job and a work contract to go with it.
Norwegians are quite reserved and do not like spending their time judging others, once you realize these two points and don't compare them to your culture most of the stress just leaves. A good work-free time balance also helps so it's important to be a bit Norwegian from that side and take care of yourself.
@nicknoel, most norwegians care very little about religion and really dislike preaching, FYI.
