Dear Noman,

As Norway is not easy to survive and not easy to get the job.

Job seekers visa main two point will gives you a loots of disappointment and you looses your lots of money here.

Points

1. Norwegian Language (Speak-Write) is main/basic requirement to get the job.

2. If you found your job on your field then you salary must be at least 30.000 NOK per month. Other wise UDI will not convert you visa in to work permit residency permit.

3. On Job seekers visa you can;t work as waiter or lower level job legally. (So you can't survive your life. Doing part time job,or unskilled jobs are not allowed on JOB Seekers Visa )

Advice.

1. Get the job and then left your home country.

2. Learn Norwegian Language course and then try.

3. Keep with you looots of money and struggle. If you have a Luck you can survive.

4. As per my knowledge if you have extraordinary skills or in oil gas field then you can find jobs in English speaking company only.

hi nimit,

why do keep posting the same reply on every other post. I have been talking to different people in Norway regarding job, living etc. nobody has said such things. Although difficulties are there, but if you cant wish luck, then at least do not scare or discourage somebody like this.

get a life dude.

I agree with what Nimit has said.

It is unbelievably difficult getting a job and surviving in Norway and I think its important that somebody tells it how it is so that you all can get a relaistic idea of the situation.

You do have to speak Norwegian to get any kind of job, you can't work outside of your field on a job seeker visa and there are loads of other requirements that make things difficult.

The advice Nimit gives is good and sensible. Don't leave your home country before you've got a job (which is difficult in itself because a lot of employers won't consider you unless you are already in Norway). If you move here without a job then make sure you have a lot of money to support yourself while you're searching, and expect that you might have to go home, with no money left...

Plus you have to deal with the weather, a harsh and cold winter and home sickness..

Its not easy and it might not work out.
