Relocation + tax

jensb87

Hi everyone!

It seems to be quite possible that I am landing an iGaming job in Malta. They are willing to pay for my flight from my home country (Sweden)and reasonably priced hotel for a week directly to the airline and hotel. Tax returnwise, is this something that needs to be reported to the IRD or is this tax-free/company takes care of this? Thanks for the answers!

taxation is always YOUR responsibility  - you have a duty to be tax compliant no matter where you are.

Hi Jen,

Thanks for the QN.

In my experience, Tax is a complicated issue and before any advice or input, it's best to have a full layout of your personal stand.

Are you self-employed or Employed, full-time or part-time, are you a tax resident in Malta or Sweden (How many days will you be spending in Malta), is the job on-line that you don't spend more than 183 days in any given country?
