Igaming industry

NorahGoes

can someone plese tell me if the one day introduction courses for I gaming are actually usefull and/or necesary to be considered for a job?

To be honest, I dont know anything about igaming. I'm sure it will help to learn more about it, but its hard to believe, a 3hrs quite expensive course can help me find a job in igaming.

thank you in advance for your reply.

Cheers

Hi Norah,

I don't know who is offering the course but you should just forget it .

Someone is trying to rip you off !

To have a chance you will have to be a native speaker of an EU language apart from English. That is all they want in i-gaming. And the ability to talk people into spending their last penny on gambling !

Please give us more details so we can name and shame! That is not the way you will get a job in i-gaming.

Cheers

Hi Ricky,

It looks like a very professional recruiting organisation called pentasia. They don't give me the idea its a rip of but it might be unnecessary. I will be in Malta end sep for ten days and want to use those days to introduce myself at some recruiting agency's. Need to find a job, otherwise I can't move :(
Someone recommended me to take a look at igaming as well, seems to be plenty vacancies but I have no idea how they work and what they do. Recruit-air is also part of pentasia I read. Do you know the company?

Thank you very much for your advice. Hope to meet you soon.

Cheers

Hi Norah,

until your post Pentasia was a decent name for me ! But if they have started charging money as a job agency they are little more than a rip-off !

If you qualify for a job in i-gaming they should be paying you and not you paying them !

Until now I have considered Pentasia as being professional but if they really charge for their services I will reconsider my opionion. They earn their money by filling positions for companies looking for employeees and should not be making money from potential job candidates too! This 'Workshop' is certainly not necessary to get a job in i-gaming. Just your qualifications.

I wish you luck in finding the right job but I don't believe you should be paying upfront.

hi Norah,

You don't need a course to learn about the iGamign industry.

It's enough if you read about it on internet. There's a lot of information and going on a course will not give you the job.

iGaming industry is like any other industry, there's sales people, there's customer support, there's IT, admin staff, marketing etc.

Check out igaming-jobs.com - there's a good overview of the iGaming industry and what sort of positions are available and you can even send them your CV.

Good luck!

Thnx guys,

The info you supplied definitely helps considering such workshops..
