Online shopping

cdw057

We order our meat, fish and wine already online and we do also some restaurants ordering. We live close to Heviz, but the normal fruits and vegs we still have to buy in shops. (same applies for Jameson whisky and cigarettes). Really a shame, but that is life. (even if it sounds decadent (and it is in a way))

Could you advise (for Jameson we would be more than happy to pay HUF 8000 per liter even if SPAR is cheaper (as Whisky does not spoil happy to order 36 liters or so).

Netherlands and UK are much more advanced in this area I have to say.

thanks a huge collection, I will definitely
bookmark. The info is however a bit overwhelming, I found some alcohol sites with reasonable prices, but nothing so far with very competitive. Bottom line if I can fine normal Jameson for 7000 or 7500 per liter I am happy to place a big order provided home delivery. (tips on top provided service is good)

Spar prices were very good but I think they do not do delivery (yet) in my area.

Does Tesco deliver?

Yes, they do deliver around here (Budapest) and I expect they do out in the sticks too.  Auchan does as well.

Just for an absurdist Sunday, one could always try and make one's own whisky.  Might be an interesting project.   Many people obviously are making their own palinka around here already.

Couldn't you do a deal with a bar or pub or restaurant?

Spar is not the greatest shop here - I think it's expensive.

I don't think that's particularly cheap.  And it's for businesses mainly.   We can go to the one near here but it's nothing special.  Easier just to use Google and search online for better deals.

CostCo in the UK is much better.  They have quite good tools (although bit American, less metric) sometimes.  Occasionally there's good stuff there.  But no CostCo here unfortunately.
