Hello,

I recently came here on a 90 day visa thinking I could apply for a residency permit while Im here. However, the American consulate here told me that I have to apply from the states and cant do anything during my stay here. is this true for all of you? Can you guys please give me some information about how you got your residence permits?

If this information came directly from the American Embassy in Athens, then yes, that is what you will have to do.

If not, then I would go to the American Embassy and ask them directly.聽 They are there to help citizens of their country while they are abroad.
