Off topic - whats on your mind?

You're not missing much, Jane - apart from the amusement factor of a soi-disant journo actually putting his name to such a juvenile, poorly written and ungrammatical mess.

What's described happened a lot 10 or 15 years ago, when prices were considerably lower of course - usually followed by the buyer's remorse that Jane encountered and subsequently overcame.  The sub-1,00 leva death-traps that were being snapped up sight unseen on eBay are now going for a fair chunk of cash. In my view, the real bargains, as always, are available to those who have more to spend and who can benefit from the work and money that someone else has already ploughed into a renovation.  It's very reminiscent of the British second-wave of immigration to France in the '90s or Corfu in the '70s-'80s.

Judging by several bloggers on YouTube it’s possible to live really cheaply but depends on how basic you want to live. Serendipity arrived here with only £5k five years ago, no pension and have survived. Silke Harvey survives on very little and many others.
