How many years is your single permit valid for?

I applied for my first single permit (H card - blue card) with an infinite contract in Flanders. It is only valid for 2 years... (rather than 3 years) which is very short. Is this normal?? I have an infinite contract so I thought it should have been 3 years at least.

i got 3 years. i have a little idea about the basis for granting the duration of the residence permit but sometimes it can be a little random, perhaps it also depends on the聽 personnel that worked on your file. however, 2 years or 3 years is not really an issue. the only annoying thing there is that your company has to apply for renewal of your single permit sooner.
