@AB_Wayne i have printer A3 , copier for leasing nationwide , reach me at [link moderated]/ for monthly support
@AB_Wayne I stopped buying printers since HP introduced "feature" in their printers and other products to be useless few days after guarantee expired. That was 20 years ago, did anything changed for the better?

Remove and reload the printer drivers.
An important consideration on which printer, either laser or ink-jet, to buy is lining up your source of cartridges or toner first.  Strangely, in Vietnam places that sell printers usually don't sell ink.  Make your choice of brands or model after you find your ink supply.

I've not bought a printer in VN, but if it is like Canada, buying a new printer is cheaper than buying ink.

Not if you buy one with wells instead of cartridges.
Ypu can use very cheap bottled in that works perfectly well, so no need to care about crazy prices of branded stuff.

Dot Matrix runs foreverÂ
@Fred just be sure to use it regularly otherwise you get stuck with repeat nozzle and head cleaning. No Biggie .

I don't use the printer that often so that is a thing, but not much more than a minor nothing to care about.
It's way better than the bloody terrible HP I had that literally jammed up deliberately if I tried to use a patten cartridge.
I literally throw it into the bin from across the room.

Much as I love Chromebooks, they do have limitations. Printing can be a pig as many printers simply don't work with them.
As I kept pretty much everything on Google drive, I just accessed from my phone and printed using that.
@Aidan in HCMC they give away color inkjet printers knowing once you’re roped in they’ll make the real money selling cartridges. Or one can find a shop that will refill the cartridges as I did when working in Siem Reap. Only problem, when I arrived to my apartment, 25% had leaked into the plastic bag, then onto my shirt front, printer, furniture, and colorfully stained my hands until replaced with new skin. Part of the local fun, or not. Local print shops are quite good and only a few vnd per sheet. And you’ll walk away with the prints in a plastic sleeve, along with clean hands.
a number of years back I stopped replacing my printers and started using the print to: and "save as pdf" function for virtually everything.
I also now have outstanding document scan with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra phone.
So I no longer need a copier and on the rare occasion that I need something printed to paper I just go to one of the local shops that specializes in copying and printing.
I'm almost always able to email them the PDF file to be printed, and I can do that from my smartphone when I am standing in their office.
I haven't bought a printer cartridge in about 6 years, and I used to buy new ones at least twice a year (and a new printer every 3 to 5 years).
I would recommend upgrading your smartphone instead of buying a new printer, unless you are printing out lots and lots of documents that must be in paper form.

That's the way things are going. Print isn't dead yet, but it will be in not too long. However, I still find it useful to print out things from time to time, and officialdom here demands loads of copies of everything.
No idea why

I do the same, email print shop and get things done. I bought many moons ago HP printer and CD burner also from same company. Printer did not even managed to empty original cartridge and burner, ha it burned maybe 5 discs in totall, broke after warranty expired. This is when narcissists and psychopaths take over as CEOs and introduce scamming tactics on customers. I will never buy anything from HP rest of my life.
HP was once legendary company their oscilloscopes and other measurement stuff from 60,70,80s are still running worldwide in great numbers, but that garage spirit from Hewlett and Packard is long gone. I remember when I was kid I went in 1984 to IT exhibition in Zagreb and their Apollo graphic workstation line was science fiction for me. It was a great company, American spirit.
I prefer the Epson E4760 copy/print/scan/fax with the ink wells - get much more bang for your buck. Mine is made in Vietnam, but don't know if they sell them there.
@Aidan in HCMC
Yep. Stateside, Office Depot and similar outlets sell printers new for about the price of 4 ink cartridges (2 black and 2 color).
Once you’ve bought their printer they’ve got you by the short and curlies and will extract the real cash flow that way.

Off topic, but...
You made me feel quite nostalgic with your comment. I sold and/or gave away all of my test equipment in 2016-17 prior to my move to VN.
I had a full line of HP equipment (plus others). The VTVMs, scopes, signal tracers, signal generators etc from HP were a pleasure to use, always accurate, and easily maintained. I'd throw away a new Fluke multimeter for a well kept HP VTVM.
Thank you for the memories
