Hi Everyone! I am Mitch and I am new here. I would like to share with you my experience and like to hear your suggestions/ opinion. Last year I visited Singapore and initially intended to stay there for a week. The officer did stamped my passport for 30 days however noted the details of my return flight. I decided to use the 30 days to find a job (it was my first time to travel. I honestly believe it was just fine to do that as long as it will not exceed the 30 days). Luckily I got interviewed and was given time to think whether to accept the offer or not. During this time I decided to exit and went to Malaysia for 1 night. When I return I was refused to enter again the country and received a letter of refusal (being ineligible) 😔 I returned to Malaysia and stay at my cousins' for 2 weeks before I returned to Philippines. It's been 7 months and I would like to return to Singapore and continue to find the job. My question is, is it possible that ICA will refused me again due to the incedent last year? Am I blocklised? Is it safe to return now? Thank you so much for your help. I will highly appreciate it.

Hello,

I was in Singapore for 2 months from May to July 2022 with a valid extension of my STVP. Upon travelling back to Philippines on July 16, the Immigration Officer stopped me for an unknown reason and advised me to send an email to ICA prior to any plans of returning to Singapore.

In August, I emailed ICA as instructed inquiring if there will be additional requirement聽 prior to my plan to return to Singapore. No additional requirement was mentioned on the response and was told to refer to the usual travel requirement for Short Term Visitors.

On my return to SG聽 (Iast week of August) to visit my my friend, I was again stopped by the Immigration Officer asking for an Appeal Letter to Enter SG which I don't have. I even showed them the email I sent to ICA and their response. I was denied entry and was sent back to Manila the next day and was advised to secure the appeal letter.

I kept emailing ICA regarding the Appeal letter but its not yet clear as to how and where to secure that Appeal letter.

Any idea on this or is there any way I can come and visit SG again?

@minzzzy Most likely, your frequent and long stays here threw up a red flag of suspicion that you are (ab-)using the tourist visa to in fact live here, at least part of the time.

I think you better apply for an STVP (tourist visa) at your nearest Singapore embassy before your next attempt to enter Singapore. If that is rejected, refrain from any attempts to come to Singapore for at least 6 - 12 months.

@surya2k hello sir I did my study in Singapore in 2022 after I came back india after few months again I go back Singapore as a tourist visa I stay there months no overstay but when I reach immigration point they take my fingerprint so now I apply for workpermit how I check my status I bain are not

Hi I'am work permit holder I work in Singapore 3year contract finished then I going back my country

Flight time is 11:00PM I missed my flight My permit expires on that day then I buy ticket the next day early morning ICA officer I was to pay a fine of 50$

I want to know I have a any problem?I can come back to working Singapore?

@Yan Naing If you explained the reasin for your brief overstay to the immigration officer (and they beieved you), then it is unlikely that they but a black mark in your profile. But to be sure, you should contact ICA and ask!
