Chances of PR Approval in 2023

Asav

Hello everyone,

I've been keeping up with the discussions on the chances of PR approval in 2023, and I would like to hear your thoughts regarding the PR approval for my particular case.

Here are some details:

Nationality: Indian

Age: 36

Married with no children

Occupation: Technology Manager with a salary of $100,000

I have worked in India for 5 years, Malaysia for over 5 years and relocated to Singapore a year ago.

I applied for PR in February on my own, and I'm uncertain about the outcome. (Just to clarify, I applied for PR for myself only, as my wife is still working in Malaysia. However, she will be joining me here next month permanently as she has secured a job with a MNC).

I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice you may have. Thank you!

If your application is rejected (which is likely), try again after your wife was here for three years and together with her. If, by that time, you have a kid (preferably male),your chances are even better.

Hi Everyone,

I would like know my chances

I had applied for PR on Oct 2022 and the status is pending. From the date of application till now, ICA did not request any additional documents. This is my 7th times applying for PR. The last application/rejection was on year 2019. below are my informations.

Nationality : Filipino

Age : 33yrs old

Length of Stay in Singapore : 11.5 Years

Position : Manager level in construction sector. with my current company for almost 9 years already.

Gross Annual Salary : $120k

Pass : Employment Pass

Married. My wife is DP holder. I have 3 kids (2 son and 1 Daughter). But i applied alone on this application. If successful then only I will apply for my wife and kids.

Would like to know my chances. Appreciate some advice.

Thank you,

@Melvs I have done the same by applying alone and got rejected in 2021. You should have applied with family. After all it is not too much like other country to apply for PR.

beppi

@Melvs The chance to become PR without your family is virtually Zero.

Your application without family means, in the eyes of ICA, that you either don't want to stay here permananently - OR you want to stay here without family (Are you on the verge of a divorce?). Both cases are not eligible. If you really want to become PR, apply together with them!

Melvs

@beppi my last application on 2019 I applied with my Family and was rejected.

anyway, If I apply with my family what will be the chances?

beppi

You did not mention your racial background. If Chinese, your chances are good - although though the salary is low for a family of five. Even if not, I think you may have a chance if you have demanded niche skills and/or show social engagement and good integration into the Singapore society.

@Melvs Applying with your family has a much higher chance of success (given your sons most likely will need to serve NS). Was there any difference in life status between your current application and your previous one?

@Asav I agree with what Beppi said. Trying again with your wife here helps given families show integration with the country

My application took 9 months... got it in my first try. Proving integration is the most important thing.

Essential docs to include:

Cover letter - my background, why Singapore and how I can contribute and integrate to society

2 letters of recommendation from Singapore citizens - how we know each other, why I'll be good for the country

Resume - my professional qualifications and academic background

Asav

@beppi - Looks like moving towards the expected result. "Upload additional docs" button is missing exactly after 4 months (on the dot). May be result should come in next week.

There is no specific space where you will have to upload your cover letter or any kind of letter during applying PR but you can load where it asks load your various course certificates.
