Informations for an article

Estelle Beauland

Hello, I am looking for some information for an article about death abroad. How do the administrative issues work, the repatriation, and also the traditions and customs of the host country. I am waiting for your answers! Thank you :)

Depends on your religion and preferences.

If you're a Muslim and want to be buried here, they wrap you in a white cloth, say a few prayers, then dump you into a hole.

It's about the same for Christians but they use a coffin instead. Perhaps they like to waste more cash on funerals than Muslims do.

I have no clue about repatriation as I wouldn't be seen dead in England .. that and the taxman would probably probably try to play like a necrophiliac and screw me one last time.

The best is asking your embassy.

What was law yesterday, may not be law tomorrow.

You need a lawyer anyway, when it comes to claim local heritage.
