Charlie, I am in Heping - should not be far from Nankai. Have you find a court yet? Maybe in the university; I shall ask my Tj colleague .
If you are fit, you will pick it up fast.

I used to play in TEDA (2011~2014), at the Tianbao International Hotel /天津天保国际酒店 which had 3 courts from memory.? I'd met a guy from England who I played with every week.? I then started a sort of informal squash club amongst 20-30 Chinese people I knew in the area, mostly 25~35 year olds.? If you can find a court but no players, perhaps you could try something like this ...
