Western style bread, baked beans, organic food etc.

digibling

Hello everybody.

I hate being a stereotypical whinging expat, but I just can't help it. If I keep on going to local supermarkets I will end up  being constipated and diabetic, possibly polluted by industrial waste. WTF is the matter with the low fibre and high sugar levels of food here in China?

Where can I get proper unsweetened bread of continental European variety? Where can I find milk products without 5% sugar? Where can I find organic produce? And this is not a health food thing, just comfort eating: where can I find a can of Heinz baked beans?

Thx for your time.

Hello,
I'm not located in Guangzhou but did you already try METRO? at least in Shanghai they have quite a good selection of imported stuff.
Furthermore I could give you some links to online stores that are selling organic food stuff (and hopefully deliver to Guangzhou too :)  )

Found most of what I was lacking at Corner's deli - corner-s.com . The shop in Citic Plaza (hidden basement level) was pretty good. Thx for the input people.
