baby organic food in Mauritius

rier12

Hi there,

Just wondering whether it is possible to get hold of organic baby food in Mauritius. I have looked in most big supermarkets and cannot find any... I come from the UK and wanted to know whether it is possible to get hold of brands like ella's kitchen, hipp and organix here.
Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks!

Hi,
A friend tells me that you can buy at La Vie Claire at La Place Tamarin has Organic babyfood from France, but she knows of no more although I am sure there must be some on the Island.

Probably the best thing you can do is make your own baby meals, no salt etc and then puree down and then freeze, just taking out what you need from the freezer each day.

I used to have a couple of mornings each month making many meals for my babies/toddlers and then freezing, and if going out for the day I would simple take from the freezer in its little tupperware type tub, by the time I needed it, it had defrosted and was ready to eat, most places will give you a jug/cup of hot water to enable to heat it up if you wish too.

Good luck :)
