helal_ali

---------------------------

well , i'm seeing lots of ppl here ( Egyptians )who wants to leave egypt ( leave it for good lol ) and they usually say they just wanna go anywhere but egypt ( i am sure they didn't mean Somalia )
on the other hand you see here ppl coming from everywhere
and they actually stay here
so i was wondering , what is it they love about egypt ?

Well, I am an Egyptian who adores Egypt ;)

I believe that the answer will be that Egypt and the Egyptians have the most beautiful charisma that is just flying in the air..

Anyone felt it flying around him/her??

mero928

I thought it is a blaming question at the first but I found out it is a nice topic.

let me tell u the answer of a friend came to Egypt in a business trip He said: I love this country,I dont know why.I see it has nice weather ,calm country and he found a lot of helpers in his way . people may be busy but as soon as they got an eye contact they give u a nice smile u can feel it in ur heart.
thanks for letting me share this

Hi

There is a "thing" about people all over the world that the grass is always greener elsewhere and that is true of many Egyptians who wish to leave Egypt for anywhere.  The sad fact is that even though many go to US or UK to "earn and save" as the exchange rate makes it look like they will be able to make loads of money, they find that the cost of living in these countries is just as expensive as Egypt, often worse and there is no way they can save anything.

I love the people.  They are the warmest, friendliest, most quick to laugh people I have ever met.  I am married to one so am biased.  There is also the culture.  As a muslim it is actually easier for me than living in the UK.  I love to hear my father in law calling adhan.  I love the noise, the bustle, the chaos of Egyptian life but although things seem loud and messy and chaotic, Egyptians are very laid back people.........everything is Insha Allah.  lol.  I also love the food!!!!!!  Being in Alex I love the sea and the fact I can walk to the beach.  I love the family life, the respect, the love I receive and give back and I love the language.  I adore the weather.

As there is so much history and I never give up on trying to learn, I am never bored.  Only thing I don't like is traffic.  I refuse to drive in Egypt and crossing the road is a nightmare.  lol

All in all...........what's not to love?

As Salaam alakum Halal Ali, (hope i said that correctly :))

i smiled when i read your question as it is sincere and i understand the irony.

i can only speak for myself so will try to explain why my heart is in egypt although my body is in toronto, canada:

- i've travelled to egypt twice and chose this destination for the history, culture and religion

- my favourite part of egypt is her people

- the mannerisms of the majority of muslims i encountered were gracious and warm; i was touched by the rituals of behaviour and emphasis on honour; coming from north america where there are no boundaries on the surface of society (sex everywhere and lack of identity and character), it was a pleasure to experience a society that still adheres to formalities (i know egypt has her social issues too but as a foreign female, i felt safer in cairo then i do in north america)

- the call to prayer five times a day was an immediate spiritual experience and a beautiful introduction to islam in egypt; i wanted to visit an arab country and witness her people firsthand rather than just see how arabs are portrayed on cnn or bbc. i'm so glad i trusted my instinct. the media is terribly warped in north america

- the differences in upper and lower egypt are intriguing; i must admit, i prefer upper egypt :)

i became so fond of egypt and although its been two years since i was last there, i still feel a part of me is there. i will return and can't wait until i feel the warmth of the luxor sun on my face as i watch the nile and listen to the call to prayer.

your country is beautiful.

w alekum el salam Katyusha
you know what , if islam in egypt nowdays was the same as 200 years ago i would never open that topic
you don't know how critical that point you touched on
the most painful thing is seeing islam disappear from egypt
islam forbid insulting others , ppl does insult others and themselves
islam forbid cheating , ppl does cheat
ppl forget about forgiveness, love and working to make things better
i don't know why some ppl intentionally leave each and every thing good
sorry the img i see for this country may be a bit dark
but you meet like 1 good person out of 10 nowdays
n i don't wanna say sometimes it's even hard to find that 1

sorry everyone for that replay
i usually love to smile and lough with others ,yet speaking of islam in egypt is way too painful
i wish one day ture islam returns

thanks for your sweet words about Egypt :)

I love the calm atmosphere and the laidback lifestyle (maybe not always in Cairo, but i've seen it in Luxor and Sharm) I also love the people.
