Using Astrology for relocation?

Guest347234

On Astro.com there's this free tool called AstroClick Travel. If you know your birth time down to hour and minute you can apparently see a map of the world with locations that are more and less auspicious for you. Have you used this? There are also some other sites and the branch of Astrology of location is called AStro Geography or AstroCartoGraphy.

In my humble experience with ACG, it is absolutely true. The country where I had so much difficulties for no reason is one where Pluto was rising at the time of my birth. Pluto locations are the worst of all for a person. Mind you, I didn't know about ACG when deciding where to go!

It also described the other places I've been down to a T like that city where I felt a fodness of the place, nature and culture but also had lots of moodiness and the locals involved me too much in their drama. That's literally the description of the locations in and around that city they have on AstroClick Travel!

What about you, have you used AstroCartoGraphy when traveling?

This is by far the most idiotic thing I've seen on this site... 馃う鈥嶁檪锔

When astrology "works", it's because of the psychology of the person who wants it to work.聽 Choosing a country based on your horoscope is no better, but probably no worse, than choosing one based on Google StreetView.聽 If it makes you feel better about your choices,聽 I say go for it!

It is still a scam, though, so don't pay the scammers more than you can easily afford to lose.

(Note that Pluto is no longer considered a planet by astronomers and at least two more massive bodies have been identified beyond its orbit, but the astrologers are still using it in their "calculations".聽 There's a message there.)

No, I did not use astrology for selecting my destinations yet - neither do I travel there by teleportation (to save airfares), use fortune telling for my investments (to beat the banks) and homeopathy when sick. Religion is from the same mould, I believe.

Beppi,

We disagree on religion, but I'm with you on all the rest.

In particular, if you ever break the code on teleportation, please let me in on it; I promise to do the same.聽 that would be incredibly neat.聽 Especially if it uses body fat as an energy source.聽 :top:

Not teleportation, but there ARE methods of travelling that use body fat as energy source!
I used the method with a two-wheeled contraption extensively in my younger years.

Homeopathy鈥id you know that in my home country (Switzerland),聽 homeopathic 鈥渞emedies鈥 and consultations are reimbursed by our mandatory health insurance?聽 I remember the moment when I learned about this, I couldn鈥檛 believe it鈥
I think (but I鈥檓 not sure) Germany too, they are really into alternative medicine.

I can鈥檛 say I have met a lot of people who believe (and use) homeopathy, but when I do encounter people who do, I usually just ask them one question, which is: Do you actually know what homeopathy is, and how they make their 鈥渞emedies鈥? And the answer has always been 鈥楴o鈥 so far, which isn鈥檛 all that surprising (they usually think that it鈥檚 an ancient systems of using medicinal properties of plants and such).

Yes, Switzerland and Germany (and possibly a few other developed nations) are highly into the Placebo effect, as it can cure (purely through psychological means of those who believe in it) without any side effects.
In this and many other respects, it is a wonderful body (and mind) that nature has given us!
Unfortunately I can't follow the trend, because I know too much.

Try Google maps far more reliable and found in the "non-fiction" section

Yes, the placebo effect can indeed be very powerful. A way of harnessing it is through hypnosis and self hypnosis. For example in at least one public hospital (Lausanne) in Switzerland, they use hypnosis in the burn wound section : people with severe burn wounds need their bandages changed regularly (obviously鈥), which is apparently so painful that the patients have to be anesthetized. Since that is very stressful in itself, they have a team of nurses who are trained in medical hypnosis, and for about 1/3 of the patients it works , i.e. they can have their bandages changed without anesthesia, while being in a state of hypnotic trance.

Looks like something that may be fun to mess around with for a little bit, but I definitely wouldn't use it to determine where I'd be moving/traveling.

I do believe that some locations are more favorable for individuals than others.

However, IMO there are better ways to determine such than using astrology .. the obvious ones including research and boots-on-the-ground visits.

For years I used astrology to determine the timing for doing all kinds of things.聽 I sent away each year for an astrological calendar so I could follow Mercury's retrograde periods .. and avoided doing anything important during such retrogrades, to the extent possible.

Eventually, I decided this was too cumbersome a way to live .. and ditched astrology en toto.聽 That's a decision I have never regretted.

I too use astrology to make major financial and life altering decisions. Why just go off of experience and common sense?1f600.svg
