What book inspired you to visit a country?

I have often read books that made me wish I could just cut a ticket to the country spoken about in the book. How about you? Have you ever read a book that made you want to see a certain country?

I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elisabeth Gilbert about a year ago, and her description of all the beautiful places she visited in Italy, and the delicious food she ate there, and how she learned the Italian language (which I agree sounds so beautiful), made me wish to live the same experience.

I love the book "Eat, pray, love" by Elisabeth Gilbert. I have red it so many times I've lost count. It is so insiring and she really catches you with her writing.
I love it!

there is also a book by a swedish autor calle "a womans journey", it's amazing. it's about a woman going on a pilgrim walk to Santiago de Compostella in Spain, to find herself. it speaks to you and it's now on my "to do"-list; walking the Santiago de Compostella pilgrimage.
