No update from my side.,I didn't call them. As I understood from someone who messaged here. It takes 2,5 months.
Mine approved! Took exactly 8 weeks after work authorization.
@SilverGun @businessqueries273
I have also received today
First time application : Brussels
Application date : 19/03/2025
Work permit: waiting
Residence permit : waiting
Can anyone help if the delay is too much .
My joining date is September 1st am not sure if I ll make it on time.
And question for people from India, did you enter notice period in the current organisation after work permit or residence permit.
@Varadha90
It is too much delay for work permit because they are generally quick with work permit but take time for residence permit. Maybe it is due to Brussels region which might take this much time, Flanders region takes 3 weeks for WP.
Do not worry about joining date, it is always subject to change.
@businessqueries273
Thanks a I received my wp 2 days back now the wait for residence permit is on.
Dear all
My work permit was approved on 03-03-2025 (as per website) but when I called the immigration office, they told me that my file reached there on 31-03. Is it realistic - as on the letter of WP it says that the file has been transferred to Immigration office, where was the file in between 03-3 - 31-3 ?
@Mert AKEL
Congratulations sir. Was yours in Brussels? how long did it take total? Mine is 9 weeks now (WP in Feb 27th)
Hi all, I have got my residence permit.
Application: 19/02/2025
Work Permit: 27/02/2025
Residence Permit: 06/05/2025
Hello All, Any idea how long will the immigration officer takes to approve the RP request for family member or any site to track the file ?.

Application: 25/02/2025
Work Permit: 24/03/2025
Residence Permit: WAITING
According to the official source, RP should only take 6-7 weeks, but in reality seems like it takes 2 months or more for most people?
Is there any update (May 2025?)
Flemish region
I got my Work Permit on 28.04.2025
My employer applied in the middle of April 2025
I am still waiting on my residence permit.
I read somewhere that after they grant you work permit they have around 30 days to decide on your residence permit? Is that true?

Renewal and change employer.
Application: 29/11/2024

@Esra gecer
Congratulations for you new job! How was the process of resignation? Have you submit your official resignation with your former company acknowledgement as documentation for new employers work permit application? Were you already able to start working for your new employee after WP or did you wait for whole process ti be completed?
I’ll change jobs now and I’m quite anxious about how to manage this without putting myself on a risk for employment gap
Hello everyone,
Can anyone whose employer applied for single permit at the start of this year share their time line to recieve WP?
Hello everyone,
Can anyone whose employer applied for single permit at the start of this year share their time line to recieve WP? - @Suyog Ghadge
Its pointless like this thread, because EVERY case is different, people just waste their time listing their timelines.
But still I feel like it's nice to know an estimate even if it's only to ease our minds @SimCityAT

@Luke Blackk
Seems as though Brussels region takes 9-12 weeks after WP approval. Flanders region seems to be 7-9 weeks after WP based on comments.

Residency Permit: Waiting
Hi, I just emailed the immigration office, and they replied that my RP is under examination. Does anyone know what that means?
@Luke Blackk
Thanks Luke, normally how much time it takes to process the documents? my new company will request a work permit for me this week because I just sign the contract last friday, and then I will apply for the visa. By the way the office is located in Leuven
Well there's not a rule. It's writtent that the maximum is around 4 months. But every case is different, so it's just a waiting game to be honest. @Zaidelhassani

Is Annex 49 really important to start first day at work? Is it a strict rule? Please give feedback if someone knows about it or has faced it.
@Mert AKEL any idea.

@Mert AKEL any idea. - @businessqueries273
Why are you asking if you're an Italian, an EU citizen?
@SimCityAT
I am an non EU. - @businessqueries273
Then why does your profile say you're Italian? Please correct it.
@businessqueries273
Yes it is. Weather you don't have an annex 49 but have SP you cant work.
In fact your employer should let this you know in advance.
Is there any way to check on the status of your RP, like any way to contact them (the immigration office)?
Hello everyone,
After 2 months and 10 days since my work permit was issued, the immigration office asked me to provide a valid residence permit from the European country where I’ve been residing for the past 5 years (Italy). However, I only have an expired residence permit along with the receipt of the renewal request. I'm worried they might not issue my residence permit because of this.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
