Written byGail Monique Malloon 18 December 2019

Music makes the season even merrier no matter where you are from the world. It has the ability to spread the festive cheer and make anyone鈥檚 mood instantly lighter. We looked into various songs from different nations around the world to check out the famous Christmas songs.

South Korea is taking up the world by storm with it's K-Pop music genre. This bubble gum pop makes everyone want to dance. Here's their take on Christmas with 鈥淪now Candy鈥.

Philippines - 鈥淎ng Pasko Ay Sumapit鈥澛

One of Philippines' favorite Christmas song that locals love to sing when the season arrives. It tells of the coming of Christmas and singing jolly songs to celebrate the season. It's also a favorite among carolers.

The title of the song literally means 鈥淟et's Be Happy and Cheerful鈥, which is the normal mood for Christmas. One of the faves among Germans, it spreads the Christmas spirit among locals yearly.

Going to Romania, the locals' favorite Christmas carol is this that translates to 鈥淢other Adorns the Tree鈥. Watch the video below to listen to the music. It was performed by Romanian pop star Fuego.

Last on our top five is 鈥淲exford Carol鈥 from Ireland, a carol from way back 12th century. Anyone who is Irish knows this song although one might have a bit of difficulty with the words because it is a very old folk song.

Wherever you are in the world, tuning into Christmas music will surely get you into the holiday vibe if you are feeling a bit of expat blues, cannot go home for Christmas or you are feeling a bit glum these days.
